First Beach SAMBO Tournament Under Youth Development Project Held in Venezuela
A Beach SAMBO tournament in the city of La Victoria, Aragua State, could mark the starting point for a new initiative in Venezuela. The competition, held on October 17, brought together 85 young athletes aged 8 to 16.
Participants competed in four age categories. The tournament was the first event of the project to develop Beach SAMBO among children and youth.

“Over time, the project is expected to cover almost the entire country, bringing Beach SAMBO to 18 Venezuelan states. This will introduce young athletes in different regions to a new SAMBO discipline and give them opportunities to compete regularly,” the Venezuelan SAMBO Federation said in a statement.
The national federation also reported that the next event within the project is planned for neighboring Carabobo State.
