Chilean SAMBO Federation Celebrates Its Tenth Anniversary with the Anniversary Cup

The Chilean National Sports Federation of Sambo and Martial Arts celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2024. In honor of this important date, the country's capital, Santiago, hosted the Anniversary SAMBO Cup, bringing together athletes and honored guests.

The competitions were held in Sport and Combat SAMBO among both men and women. Particular attention was paid to outstanding sambists – prize winners of the Pan American Championships of previous years. These athletes, who have glorified Chile on the international stage with their achievements, were awarded medals for their achievements in sports.

One of the central events of the event was the presentation of the "Anniversary Medal 2014-2024". This award was established specifically for the organization's tenth anniversary. Its recipients were honorary guests of the tournament and members of the federation who made a significant contribution to the development and popularization of SAMBO in Chile.

The President of the Chilean Sambo Federation Nelson Romero noted the significance of the past decade in his speech:

"As a federation, we are still very young, today we celebrate the first 10 years. All this time we have worked very hard, and our main goal has always been and will be the desire to build a strong and serious SAMBO Institute in Chile."

He also added that the anniversary cup was not only a celebration, but also a demonstration of the results of many years of work. The Federation looks confidently to the future, continuing to work on popularizing SAMBO and supporting athletes.
