Brazilian SAMBO Championship brings together the country's top athletes
Goiânia, in the state of Goiás, hosted the 2026 Brazilian SAMBO Championship on 18 July. The tournament brought together athletes, coaches, referees and federation representatives from across the country, showcasing the ongoing development of Brazilian SAMBO.

“The national championship treated fans to outstanding performances that once again demonstrated just how strong SAMBO's standing is in Brazil. The tournament reflected the results of the work carried out by the Brazilian SAMBO Confederation (CBSA), which runs the sport in close cooperation with regional federations and coaches,” the CBSA said in a statement.

Blind SAMBO competitions held a special place in the championship program, confirming that the discipline continues to grow worldwide and that SAMBO remains a sport open to everyone.

“The 2026 Brazilian SAMBO Championship has once again confirmed that the sport keeps gaining strength in the country. Every tournament uncovers new talent, recognizes the work of coaches, and brings Brazil closer to achieving even greater results on the international stage,” the CBSA added.
